Intro
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Print Project Manager - Mid-Level to join our team on a hybrid basis in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing print production within agency or corporate environments.

This is an 18-month contract position.

Job Details
As a Print Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing, documenting, reviewing, and tracking print projects using various procurement platforms and project management systems. You will collaborate with Creative Directors, Designers, and outside vendors to take projects from conception to fruition, ensuring quality and budgetary compliance. Your role will include negotiating costs, managing production specifications, and maintaining accurate production records.

Mandatory Skills
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing print production with an agency or internal design team.
- Experience working on projects with print vendors either on the client or vendor side.
- Expertise in writing print specifications that translate file information into production instructions.
- Knowledge of paper, stocks, weights, coatings, and the ability to understand visual outcomes based on ink configurations.
- Knowledge of purchasing specifics, figuring unit costs, and calculating change requests.
- Experience working with creative staff and studio production teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective project management skills.

Desired Skills
- Understanding of InDesign, Photoshop.
- Working knowledge of procurement systems or other purchasing instruments.
- Understanding of Direct Mail best practices and Postal Regulations.
- Ability to estimate production times based upon specifications and quantities needed.
- Ability to understand file construction and utilize Adobe PDF preview.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Anticipated start date is 10/7/2024.

Location
This position is located in Austin, Texas, United States, and will require you to be onsite 3 days a week.
