Process Automation Engineer

Job Location: Framingham MA

An automation engineer is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting control systems in an industrial environment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance a variety of process automation systems. They will provide technical support to customers and update technical documents. They will be required to have a working knowledge of industrial control systems both hardware and software while being able to communicate effectively with customers engineers and other stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify and implement DCS PLC SCADA solutions that enhance production efficiency.
Analyze current manufacturing processes and recommend automation strategies to improve throughput and quality.
Provide technical support and training to the manufacturing team on DCS PLC SCADA systems.
Work closely with the supply chain team to integrate automation solutions that streamline operations and reduce costs.
Conduct regular system audits to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in manufacturing automation and propose innovative solutions.
Facilitate cross-functional meetings to align project objectives with business goals.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations processes and training materials.
Manage project timelines and resources to ensure timely delivery of automation projects.
Ensure all automation solutions adhere to safety and quality regulations.

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of experience working with DCS PLC SCADA systems in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record in improving manufacturing processes and supply chain efficiency through automation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or related field is preferred.
Experience in project management and process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
Self-motivated individual with a keen interest in technology and innovation.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
