We are looking for an Automation Engineer with a background in electrical and mechanical systems, robotics, AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), and project management, preferably within the semiconductor back- end processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing automation solutions to improve efficiency, reliability, and quality in semiconductor manufacturing.

Job description:

In your new role you will work with:
  • Automation System Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for various processes in semiconductor back-end manufacturing, including AOI systems, electrical and mechanical automation, and robotics integration.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for equipment automation and optimization. Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce cycle times, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Project Management: Lead automation projects from conception to completion, including project planning, resource allocation, timeline management, and stakeholder communication. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D, to identify automation requirements, gather feedback, and ensure successful implementation of automation solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide technical support for automation systems, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure continuous operation and minimize downtime.
  • Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation, including specifications, operating procedures, and training materials, to support the deployment and maintenance of automation systems. Train end-users and technical staff on the operation and maintenance of automation equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automation engineering. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance automation capabilities, processes, and systems.


Your Profile:

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in automation engineering, with a focus on electrical, mechanical automation, robotics, AOI systems, and project management.
  • Understanding of semiconductor back-end processes and equipment, including wire bonding, die attach, packaging, and testing.
  • Proficiency in automation software and programming languages, such as PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Siemens, Allen Bradley. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems), Ladder Logic, Python, C/C++, etc.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues and propose innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality, safety, and compliance.
