Summary

DPS is looking for a talented and experienced Process Engineer to work with a pharmaceutical client in the Boston, MA area. Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle related to biotech and pharmaceutical GMP industries. This individual must be strong technically with Cell Culture equipment (Bioreactors, Media and Harvest Vessels, Process, SIP and CIP transfer lines). They would be expected to review protocols, specifications and reports as part of a larger Cell Culture project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use experience with Process facility design and construction in clean room, laboratories, biotech, pharma, nanotechnology and life sciences, work with clients, vendors and Design Engineers.
  • Execute projects for Biotech and Pharmaceutical clients including: Developing URS, FRS, design risk assessments; reviewing and walking down P and IDs for process equipment and utilities; developing CIP/SIP device sequence matrix charts/protocols; performing simulation, construction support, FAT, SAT and ETOP review.
  • Conduct process calculations to develop instrumentation and equipment specifications for biotech/nanotechnology processes using fermenters, bioreactors, Centrifuge, UF/DF skids, viral filtration and Chromatography.
  • Perform CIP/SIP design and cycle development and skid design/layout.
  • Review process design, process flow (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P and IDs).
  • Support new equipment installation, equipment modifications and commissioning.
  • Perform process improvement and troubleshooting, plant start up and safety reviews for biotech and nanotechnology processes using quality systems that support Engineering and Manufacturing lifecycles CAPA, Deviations and TrackWise.
