Under general supervision, AutoZone's Industrial Engineer will perform moderate duties in researching, designing and/or developing methods and materials which will increase operation efficiency and the utilization of distribution facilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review and measure DC performance in comparison to DC Best Business Practices.
  • Make recommendations for improvements. Analyze DC quality control and inventory control processes and methods
  • Develop tools to improve inventory slotting and labor planning in the DCs.
  • Work with IT personnel and outside vendors as necessary to Implement software solutions to productivity enhancements.

REQUIREMENT:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related disciplines, or relevant equivalent experience
  • Two to five years experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment (or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering)
  • Labor Metrics Software and Engineered Standards preferred
