Jacobs is currently seeking a Process/ Mechanical engineering intern from and ABET accredited university to work with our team in Oak Ridge, TN. Jacobs Nuclear Projects and Consulting is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy and Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and nuclear power/processing/laboratory programs and facilities. We deliver end-to-end innovative solutions nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering and construction.

• Must have and understanding of Chemical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Must have a High School Diploma and be enrolled in an ABET accredited University for Engineering.
• Proficiency using CAD Drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Microstation or related software.
• Must have experience with 3D Modeling software such as Solidworks or Creo.
• US citizenship required.
• The ideal candidate for this position will reside a commutable distance from our Oak Ridge office

Essential Requirements:

Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary. Some walking and standing may occur in the course of a normal

workday in connection with travel to and from meeting and conferences. May carry light items, such as reports, data

products, notebooks and laptops.

Work Environment:

- Cubical environment

- May be in a restricted work area.

Criticality of Attendance:

- Must be able to work within the normal daytime shift

- With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.

Equipment and Machines:

- Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine,

and other office equipment including desk supplies.

Other Essential Functions:

- Must be solely a USA citizen able to secure and maintain a security clearance.

- Must pass drug testing.

- Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
