Assist Program staff in tasks such as sourcing commodities and securing price quotes using appropriate solicitation methods; evaluate pricing, freight terms, and delivery schedules; prepare purchasing documents using SAP software and maintain relationships with suppliers. Under close supervision, review specifications for equipment (assets), monitor the completion of orders through receipt of services and coordinate with the warehouse for Goods Received (GRs). Prepare Purchase Estimates for procurements over the Department's delegation limit requiring bidding by the Department of General Services' (DGS) Procurement Division.

Assist the DISE CalCard Coordinator with reviewing more then 30 CalCard packages every month for the Division. Verifying all supporting documents are provided and are uploaded to the package. Research problems and assist in the process to resolve disputes and to correct errors of Cal-Card purchases.

Assist on special projects and other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a candidate with customer service experience, experience with the Procurement Tracking System or similar software, Cal-Card or other organizational purchasing experience, the ability to interpret and follow procurement practices, rules and guidelines, knowledge of budgeting, invoicing or processing purchase orders, knowledge of purchasing methodologies such as Fair and Reasonable (F&R), Leveraged Procurement Agreement (LPAs), Information Technology Acquisition and Plan (ITAP), National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO), California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS), a candidate who is a self-starter and is highly motivated, has experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint; and has experience utilizing SAP or similar software.
