Procurement Specialist

Piper Health & Sciences is seeking a Procurement Specialist to drive global sourcing strategies for a leading biopharmaceutical organization in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site travel 3 days per week.

Responsibilities for the Procurement Specialist include:
• Lead the creation, execution, and management of global sourcing strategies across all departments and spend categories.
• Develop procedures in alignment with organizational, site, and corporate strategies to streamline procurement functions.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal customer base (such as Department and Site Heads) to understand and anticipate business needs.
• Communicate with stakeholders on sourcing policies, processes, and systems.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, execute RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, and lead supplier qualification processes.
• Perform total cost analysis of spend categories and identify areas to optimize value and savings.

Qualifications for the Procurement Specialist include:
• 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or a similar role is required, preferably within the biopharma industry.
• Proven RFQ experience in a cross-functional organization.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.

Compensation for the Procurement Specialist includes:
• Salary Range: approximately $38.00 - $48.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
