Daikin Applied is now hiring for a Product Engineering Intern in Staunton, VA!

Location : Staunton, VA in office 5 days per week

Timeline: This Internship opportunity is for May-August 2025

What you will do:
  • Work with an assigned engineer to research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine the feasibility of the design or application
  • Design/test products or systems such as instruments, controls, fan coil, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, or heat transfer systems under the direction of the assigned engineer
  • Work with fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and development of methods and procedures for testing products or systems under the direction of assigned engineer

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with Solidworks or related CAD software
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successfully completed Thermodynamics I, and Fluid Mechanics
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, preferred 3.5 or better
