Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We obsess over customer experience and develop policies, rules, and systems to ensure quality. The role will be responsible for building traffic control strategies, processes and operational tools that drive a trusted customer experience across all of the traffic channels we govern, including Shoptab, Campaigns, ShopAds, Affiliate Marketing, Video and Lives.

We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2025. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Turn your ambitions into reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. A vibrant blend of social events and enriching development workshops will be available for you to explore. Here, you will utilize your knowledge in real-world scenarios while laying a strong foundation for personal and professional growth. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates below:
Monday, May 12
Monday, May 19
Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26)
Monday, June 9
Monday, June 23

We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

Responsibilities:
-We are looking for an MBA intern to help create & streamline operational processes that ensure we're offering users a trusted and relevant shopping experience for all shopping channels where sellers and products are displayed to customers.
-Identify inefficiencies/bottlenecks in current business operations, propose solutions & drive implementation.
-Define key performance metrics and set KPIs to balance business growth with channel health.
-Provide US specific recommendations, insights & analytics to cross functional teams across Product, Search, Recommendation, Algo, Moderation, Seller & Listing Policies teams

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
-Currently pursuing a full time MBA or related discipline.
-Have a basic understanding of the e-commerce industry, specifically in the US.
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a scrappy and proactive approach.
-Strong data analysis skills and proficiency using basic data analysis tools/techniques.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated experience in collaborating effectively across multiple teams (e.g., Trust & Safety, Data Science, Product, Engineering).

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience understanding consumer and shopping habits and developing governance and experience strategies aligned with business objectives
-Familiar with online experimentation (e.g., A/B testing)
-Experience in developing personalization or search & recommendation related products
