Are you looking to leverage your deep product management experience to help others replicate your success? We are looking for a trusted partner to come alongside our product managers and product owners and help us become better, more strategic product thinkers. As part of our new Product Operations group, a team dedicated to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our product organization, you will be critical in shaping the future of our product organization. With a collaborative and outcome-driven mindset, you will establish and roll out best practices for individuals and teams.

In this dynamic role, your 'product' will be the product organization itself, and you'll model the product management process in your interactions. You'll be constantly on the lookout for pain points and identifying the most impactful changes. Your ability to pitch solutions, partner with stakeholders, and establish plans and targets for how we achieve that impact will be crucial. Then, you'll work with partners to execute the plan, iterating and adapting as you go to achieve the desired outcome. Your adaptability and flexibility will be crucial to your success in this role.

Note: This is a hybrid role which requires the candidate to go into the Plano, TX office at least 2 days per week.

Responsibilities
You are a force multiplier - someone who can assess the situation and help elevate the maturity of our product organization to the next level.That is likely to take several forms, such as:
  • Planning and Forecasting: Help our teams with best practices to connect strategy with tactics and roadmaps with backlogs. This may involve tooling, training, and coaching to develop a plan, monitor progress, and report status consistently across business units.
  • Metrics and KPIs: Aid the product organization's drive to adopt a data-driven mindset and identify the right indicators to measure.
  • Training and Workshops: Establish or improve programs and assets to aid our product team members through training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching. Organize and occasionally run critical product meetings for strategy, planning, and releases.
  • Standardize Processes: Design frameworks for processes that span teams, such as strategy cadences, documentation on product features, collecting data, setting goals, creating and maintaining roadmaps, and sales enablement. Meet people where they are today and help define iterative steps to a better tomorrow.
  • Coaching: Provide guidance and mentorship on topics such as roadmaps, decision-making strategies, prioritization, product leadership, and efficient communication.

Product skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, design, or a related field is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience as a product manager or senior product leader.
  • 3+ years of experience in product strategy and delivery, coaching, and people development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop sound product strategies and execute them for clients while adapting to change
  • A deep understanding of effective processes and the ability to apply frameworks and methodologies to address specific problems.
  • Ability to listen deeply to individual needs and adapt solutions
  • Familiarity with standard tools such as Jira, Office, and preferably Coda.
  • Experience in enterprise B2G or B2B markets is a plus.
