The Role

Our Manufacturing & Logistics consulting practice is one of the most prominent and significant in the industry. And we are growing! We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join us in our Consulting practice. This role will focus on industrial manufacturing strategies at the intersection of business and technology, helping lead the way as we continue to scale our business.

We're looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant's Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and support delivery of effective solutions; applying technical and domain expertise to solve core client business challenges or inefficiencies; developing and strengthening domain knowledge and maintaining an accurate understanding of Cognizant's industry propositions and consulting capabilities; supporting business development activities of senior leaders; contributing to the development of practice initiatives or new service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points, development of consulting assets); and being an inspiring colleague, promoting team motivation, partnership, and ownership for projects. Responsibilities

  • Consult directly with our clients and provide advisory services designed to help them solve their most complex business and technology challenges
  • Manage and direct a small-to-medium team of developer through client engagement, analysis, business case development, and the development of focused and contextual solutions
  • Lead communications with project stakeholders, including status reporting, priority setting, and timely issue resolution
  • Contribute to the thought leadership of your practice and contribute to one or more practice initiatives or service offerings (e.g., Strategic Consulting Points (SCPs), the building of consulting assets or solutions)
  • Maintain expertise in your industry or capability group: Future state process definition for AR/AP for freight brokerage, drayage, warehousing and managed services businesses.
  • Encourage and facilitate the business development activities of project teams through activities such as opportunity validation, strategy approval, RFI support, storyline, proposals, & client presentations
  • Engage with client contacts to generate leads and identify new opportunities for consulting services.
  • Recognize, capture, store, and promote the sharing of engagement collateral and IP (e.g., blogs, white papers, case-studies, articles)
  • Supports the implementation of one or more practice initiatives or service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points (SCP), consulting assets, solutions)
  • Serve as a people leader within Consulting, supporting professional development of the team


Qualifications

Must Have Skills
  1. Experience working in SOX Compliance and SOX management functions
  2. Strong Agile Product Owner experience
  3. Hands on expertise in Agile tools (JIRA and Confluence)
  4. Leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach and mentor other team members
  5. Able to develop and deliver all or subsets of the artifacts (i.e., user stories, test scenarios) for group and other teams
  6. Expert in product management techniques such as user story mapping, carving out Minimum Viable Products, identify improvements for improving cycle time and throughput
  7. Ability to work with large cross functional teams in an onsite offshore mode of delivery

  2. Presales experience/ interest
  3. Technical knowledge (cloud implementations/ data analytics)
