Production Pharmacy Technician - Houston, TX

Hours: Monday - Friday, will be working an 8-hour shift between the hours of 8am - 6pm (Some overtime may be required depending on business need)

Location: 8888 INTERCHANGE DRIVE HOUSTON, TX 77054

(***Note: Site will be moving in 3 months to new address = 4620 S Sam Houston Parkway Houston, TX 77048)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with ordering, receiving, counting, and maintaining inventory
• Unpack and ensure proper placement of received inventory according to storage and/or refrigeration requirements
• Accurately gather medications and supplies according to specifications of compounding record
• Label prepared compounded sterile products
• Assist with cleaning of pharmacy prep area and sterile product complex, including required monthly clean of cleanroom environment
• Sanitize and prepare medications and supplies for entry into cleanroom environment
• Re-stock pharmacy and cleanroom supplies
• Organize medication orders to prepare for production
• Package and label prepared medication orders, ensuring drug, related supplies, and education materials are included
• Prepare and scan compounding record documentation

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 3+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license or registration in the state of Texas
• 1+ years of experience with computers and MS Office products
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
