Production Supervisor - Material Handling

Position Description:
Supervisor is expected to work closely with Superintendent and Plant Manager to ensure the following: • Responsible for supervising all operations: • Inbound, outbound, and claims processing • Responsible for delivering objectives including but not limited to: • Cover crews in supervisor's absence • Attend, facilitate, and submit proper documentation for crew meetings • Prepare/maintain work related records as needed • Schedule workforce (including overtime and vacation) • Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives toward best in class performance
Skills Required:
• Self Starter • Previous UAW/HVC supervisory experience preferred, willing to work rotating work hours when required • Knowledge or ability to learn current systems (SAP/EWM) Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to interpret data, evaluate actions, and reach logical conclusions independently • Goal oriented individual • Have Continuous Improvement mind set • Excellent organizational skills and ability to demand accountability from all employees • Other Information: Must be able to work outside of traditional work hours. • Current operational hours are from 6:00 AM until 1:30 AM • Some weekends might be required • Must have the ability to work overtime/adjust schedule as required, as the business dictates. • Proven dependability record and successful team-oriented experience.
