Production Support Engineer

An employer in the Financial Services industry is looking for a Production Support Engineer to join their team in Plano, TX. This person will be an individual contributor on a Production Support team for a Loan Underwriting Application.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for Incident management and conducting proper problem follow-up
- Proactively monitor and manage the production environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application problems including but not limited to job failures, feed management, monitoring etc
- Improve and or create documentation of support policies and procedures
- Understanding, in depth, the business processes supported by the system.
- Support application releases, implementations, upgrades, and/or changes into the environment.
- Ensuring continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues across platforms. Tracking progress and escalating as appropriate unless resolution reached.
- To ensure that applications and related services are documented and kept current.
- Maintaining a knowledge base of known defects and issues, process, techniques etc
- Takes part in production support rotation, and responding and resolving production problems
Build strong partnership with Development, Infrastructure and platform teams

Target Pay Rate for this role is $58.84/hr

5+ years of experience in a Production Support or Engineering role
SQL Server and Oracle Database experience
Unix/Linux Experience
Java experience
Job/Batch Scheduling exp, Autosys preferred

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Appian or Salesforce experience
Mulesoft
Informatica
Knowledge of Loan/Credit technology
