Responsibilities
The Florida Institute for Governance and Civics' mission is to provide students with access to an interdisciplinary hub that will develop academically rigorous scholarship and coursework on the origins of the American system of government. The Program Director will be the key administrator for the IGC and will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the IGC.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and six years of experience related to administrative services; or a high school diploma or equivalent and ten years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to ten years.)

The Program Director will be the key administrator for the IGC and will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the IGC.
- Responsible for the administrative management and operations of the Florida Institute for Governance and Civics which includes overseeing strategic areas of development to support the missions and objectives of the institute. Suggest and research viable solutions to program needs, execute IGC decisions, and identify and track the institute's performance measurements.
- Responsible for developing and managing the organization's budget. This includes the planning and continued monitoring and analysis of the fiscal health of the program to ensure that all financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support the organization's strategic objectives and oversight and administration of associated funding grants and contracts.
- Responsible for providing oversight of research projects and programs and ensuring that they are carried out effectively and efficiently. Responsible for coordinating with principal investigators to ensure that research projects are aligned with the organization's strategic goals and associated objectives are achieved.
- In collaboration with the Director of the Florida Institute for Governance and Civics, this position is responsible for institute events and for fostering and maintaining robust relationships with various stakeholders. These relationships may include, but are not limited to industry leaders, private corporations, government entities, elected officials, associations, school districts, higher education institutions, and other external partners to cultivate strategic alliances that advance the organization's mission and objectives.
- Develop and execute the annual media and marketing strategies for the institute, in cooperation with University Relations, Marketing, and the Research Communications Office. Work with the Office of Legislative Affairs to track local, state, and national public policy and funding initiatives related to the associated projects. Engage the local communities and stakeholders throughout the programs' service areas through the organization and participation in public outreach events and educational initiatives.
- Responsible for the recruitment, talent acquisition and supervision of associated staff assigned to the associated projects; ensure employee relations and FSU HR policies and procedures are adhered to and facilitate the professional development, onboarding, and training of new employees.
