Job Description

SUMMARY

Manages and implements strategic program plans. Oversight of complex program(s), department and/or grant level responsibilities or multiple components of an overall program/department/grant.

The Program Manager for Early Childhood & Before/After School Programs is responsible for managing and implementing strategic plans that ensure high-quality care and educational experiences for children. The Program Manager ensures that these programs are aligned with developmental, educational, and community needs, while meeting all relevant state and federal guidelines.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Master's Degree AND

Two (2) years of experience administering or coordinating programs.

OR

Bachelor's Degree AND

Five (5) years of experience administering or coordinating programs.

OR

Ten (10) years of progressive experience administering or coordinating programs.

Two (2) years supervisory experience.

Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Proven expertise of federal and state legislative requirements related to specific program, department or grant.

Some positions within this classification may require some type of certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Doctorate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership or related field.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

CPR and First Aid Certification within the first 60 days of employment.

TB Test within the last year upon hire or a new test within first 60 days of employment

Valid Driver's License.

MVReport - showing no more than the allowable points against Driver's License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees

Classification : Exempt Coordinator

FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day
Work Calendar: 12 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.?
