Program Manager

Apex has an immediate need for a Portfolio/Program Manager to lead/coordinate a Personal Finance project portfolio for our Fortune 25 client.
Ideal candidateswill have:

• 5+ years experience establishing relationships and aligning with the key business leaders, product owners, and technology stakeholders to develop project roadmaps, remove progress barriers, anddrive alignment and delivery efficiencies within an overall program.
• Willingness and ability tofill project management gaps within the program as needed.
• Self-starter initiative with a 'learn and apply' attitude.
• Experience in an intense, fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading stakeholder groups, comprised of technical, product, business, and vendor teams as a Lead Program/Portfolio Manager.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• Excellent MS Office toolset skills.
• 3rd-party vendor management experience.
• Proven track record of schedule development and delivering objectives on time and within budget against that schedule.
• Agile and waterfall project methodology experience.
• Ability to anticipate and manage project risks.
• Confidence and be a solution-oriented independent worker.
• Ability to work effectively while managing different sets of business, technology and vendor stakeholders.
• Proven problem solving and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability in team motivation and delegation.
• PMP certification

Key Responsibilities

• • Become familiar quickly with a very large and complex Finance and Technology organization, ways of working and enterprise processes.
  
  • Understand individual Finance projects and ensure appropriate-levels of project management rigor are applied.
  
  • Establish and facilitate aproject in-take process.
  
  • Establish and publish portfolio-level status reporting to key leadership stakeholders on a regular cadence.Included are project funding allocation and benefit realization considerations.
  
  • Establish and facilitate portfolio reviews with business, Product leadership and key stakeholders.
  
  • Partner with Finance business and Product leads to ensure issues are being addressed in a timely fashion and priorities are understood.
  
  • Partner with dedicated Project Managers to ensure individual project issues and risks are being communicated upward for resolution.
  
  • Manage overall project manager resource capacity levels.
  
  • Meeting coordination, facilitation and follow-up.
  
  • Create and track schedules, risks and issues, and budget (when applicable).
  
  • Develop risk mitigation plans and escalate decisions and unresolved issues as needed.
  
  • Maintain project portfolio communications with stakeholders at multiple levels.
