The Program Manager for MLS Go will be responsible for helping us build our MLS GO program strategy, as we create opportunities to work with all 30 MLS Clubs. This person will work cross-departmentally with internal partners and build relationships with external partners, to support the growth of MLS GO. In this role you'll regularly work with RCX Sports senior leadership, MLS, and all MLS Clubs to help us build the MLS GO infrastructure and strategy. This position will report to the Vice President of Program Management and requires a background in the youth sports industry and working with professional sports teams or organizations.

Job Responsibilities:

MLS GO Development
  • Contribute to the continued development of MLS GO including assisting with the creation of rules for league play, playbooks, coaching instruction, resource libraries, webinars, virtual trainings, and other initiatives
  • Establish and maintain a process or system for RCX staff to access resource libraries, program assets, and regular program updates
  • Act as the subject matter expert and main point of contact for matters related to MLS GO in collaboration with all 30 MLS Clubs and internal stakeholders including program updates, club initiatives, and strategic event or activation planning
  • Regularly meet with internal leaders within the League Growth, League Success Management, the RCX Sports Foundation, and other departments to ensure alignment on MLS GO guidelines from the MLS and MLS Clubs.

MLS Club Relationships
  • Regularly engage with all 30 MLS Clubs to develop best practices and facilitate the growth of MLS GO in their respective markets
  • Meet with each MLS Club monthly to establish excellent working relationships, evaluate opportunities for growth, and discuss activations, regional tournaments, clinics, showcases, camps, and other event opportunities
  • Work with the Vice President of Program Management to develop short and long-term strategies to grow the MLS Go program with all 30 MLS clubs
  • Provide regular reports on discussions, updates, and upcoming initiatives to senior leadership team and internal departments


MLS GO Event Series and Activation Development
  • Assist the Vice President of Program Management with the development of MLS GO Event Series, partnership activation opportunities, and additional MLS GO event initiatives
  • Coordinate with MLS Clubs and RCX Sports Events Team to implement partnership activations and take lead on registration, equipment, apparel, safety & compliance, and all other activation needs
  • Regularly meet with Events team to discuss upcoming MLS event schedule, event activation needs including materials, staffing, and logistics
  • Coordinate with internal teams including marketing and events to ensure all activations are successfully implemented at each event within scope and budget
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture that encourages innovation and accountability.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business, Sports Management, or related field (or equivalent years of work experience)
  • At least 2 years of experience working with a professional sports team or organization in a sales, development, account management, or customer relationship role
  • Extensive knowledge of soccer, MLS, MLS GO, the youth soccer landscape, and the youth sports industry
  • Prior experience as a collegiate or professional player or coach preferred
  • Prior experience working for an MLS Club or another professional soccer team or organization preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities, with a track record of successfully leading complex initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Knowledge of the youth sports industry, markets, and trends, with the ability to identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

More about the role:
  • Travel: Up to 25% of the time. This position will likely travel at least once a month to support MLS GO events or meet with strategic partners.
  • Work Schedule: Full-Time 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday) with occasional nights and weekends
  • Location: Remote
  • Compensation Structure: Salaried, FLSA Exempt (OT-ineligible), paid semi-monthly. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on employee and Company performance.
  • Reports to: Vice President of Program Management
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will not have full-time direct reports
