Job Duties
Provides support services to clinical staff in the Mental Health Department, including
administrative and clerical services.
Enters relevant data into Correctional Information System (CORIS) and other databases to track inmate mental health status and appointments.
Files documentation in inmate medical records, pulls charts for clinical appointments, and ensures documentation is prepared for psychiatric appointments.
Prepares Master Pass List and enters information into CORIS for clinical appointments.
Prepares copies of relevant documentation, inmate's medical records as requested by outside agencies, and faxes documentation to outside agencies.
May be involved with special projects or programs.
Provides back-up clerical support to medical unit as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel to accomplish office support requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Experience providing customer service and administrative support in a professional office setting
- Experience using office equipment (i.e. computers, printers, copier and fax machine)
- Working knowledge of a multi-line communication system
- Knowledge of rules and regulations related to records storage, maintenance, release and confidentiality
- Working knowledge of databases used to manage clinical schedules and track information
