JOB SUMMARY:
Rady Children's Hospital External Affairs division currently seeks a Project Coordinator who will work closely to support the Marketing and Communications team's goal to produce high-quality, communications, and assist with project management.
This position supports the successful functioning of the entire marketing team, including hospital, foundation and genomics. In this role, they are responsible for investigating and resolving logistical problems as they arise during the planning process and execution of projects. Excellent customer service to colleagues, vendors, clinical partners, volunteers and hospital leadership is critical. Primary responsibilities include serving as point person for contracts, purchase orders and invoices. They will assist with basic administrative duties including but not limited to scheduling meetings, maintaining department's main line, and other day-to-day operational needs.
The ideal candidate has administrative or customer service and some project tracking experience; will be an excellent ambassador and representative for Rady Children's; works efficiently under pressure and is able to meet deadlines; demonstrates good research and decision-making skills; and is proactive and solutions-focused. They should be articulate, poised, and possess good written and oral communication skills.
The Project Coordinator position is responsible for the support and implementation of projects within the department and the organization. Assigned projects range in scope from facilitation of on-going programs to specific targeted program review plan logistics of events, to create and/or edit correspondence, establish, maintain and revise record keeping/filing systems, be available for on-site events/programs, support staff with program registration and offer ideas to enhance programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates Degree or years of comparable experience
2 years of experience
Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks and workflow; work independently while collaborating with internal and external customers
Skill in advanced administrative procedures/practices to include advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and educational development software
Works collaboratively with a variety of internal and external customers (i.e. staff, peers, managers, medical staff, community groups, affiliated facilities)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
3 years of experience
The expected hiring range for this position is $22.00 to $30.26
