Qualifications: Good understanding of operations and engineering practices and procedures within a JIT manufacturing environment. Good written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills. Previous manufacturing/engineering experience is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Involvement in the installation of new manufacturing equipment and work closely with equipment suppliers, installation teams and TSAM R&D to successfully transition production to full utilization and maturation.

• Liaise with equipment suppliers for problem resolution, etc.

• Examine manufacturing processes, drive and facilitate improvements (kaizen) of workflow, working with other departments in order to innovate data driven improvement projects related to quality, productivity and other management index analysis and use sustainable solutions to improve product output and quality as well as reduce costs.

• Understand and efficiently identify current process limitations, perform root cause and propose creative solutions for path forward under minimum supervision using OEE, scrap and overtime data pulled from Ujigami.

• Ability to locate, read and understand applicable information (DWG, BOM, SPEC, PPC, Concept Standards) etc.

• Support prototype and testing builds.

• Experience with 3D CAD software (Catia, SolidWorks, eDrawings).

• Creates and maintains schedule for development, specification maturation, appearance verification, and Mass Production start-up support.

• Identifies, tracks, and prioritizes resolution of project concerns.

• Develop Process Layout, determine specification of Equipment, Jigs and Tools to achieve the highest efficient production process.

• Ability to ensure schedules and CAD models/drawings are accurate and stay on track while meeting all standard procedures and conforming to ISO policies.

• Support department innovation through benchmarking, proof of concept, research activities and development proposals (products and business process).

• Demonstrates overall engineering aptitude (engineering fundamentals).

• Has high knowledge base of TS Tech products and requirements.

• Track and maintain design related issues and propose countermeasures per schedule.

• Support the development and proposal of reoccurrence prevention methods.

• Effectively communicate between production, PE and scheduling departments to create and implement countermeasure activity and improvement schedules utilizing production downtime.

• Provide reports to upper management as requested/needed (return on investments) etc.

• Utilize preventative quality techniques to improve product quality, reduce in-line defects, and reduce scrap
