You will also have access to our comprehensive benefits and competitive pay in addition to growth opportunities and excellent retirement options.Job Summary:Compass Point is looking for a Project Manager with an active Secret clearance to work at Fort Meade, MD.Provide project management that includes project analysis of functional, management and technical requirements for the applicable projects. The contractor shall work with the Government in tracking actions related to Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) or Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Office (CIO) guidance, engineering review boards, innovation conferences, and other technical exchange meetings, as necessary.ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of project management functions, including estimation and tracking of project costs and develop project schedules; requirements analysis, risk management, change management, problem-solving, process improvement and tracking performance issues and document lessons learned. Also, develop an acquisition strategy outline, including high-level goals and objectives.
- Provide project management and planning documentation to summarize progress and issues of portfolios, specific programs, and individual projects as they progress and the aggregate set of projects within an assigned task area and shall develop, monitor, and report on related metrics to include internal management controls.
- Work with the Government with collecting data from other Government internal and external sources, as well as other contractors to support existing innovations and future emerging capabilities.
- Provide recommendations on procuring hardware or software technology to analyze and facilitate innovation requirements. Be involved in program reviews (including OSD oversight and DoD CIO reviews, DISA oversight reviews, and DISA/partner execution reviews) and integrated project teams.
- Provides technical assessment reports or collect technical documentation from various project leads to summarize progress of emerging technology projects during different project phases to include planning, research, prototype demonstration, pilot, and transition. Work with the Government project lead in aggregating technical data for both continuing reports and in response to ad hoc requests for information. Evaluate emerging projects to ensure that key considerations have been adequately planned for and that relevance guidance has been complied. Assist the government project lead with developing, monitoring, and reporting on program metrics to include internal management controls and shall work with the Government in tracking actions related to a variety of projects actions as necessary, providing status reports.

- Manages multiple and/or large programs to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Manages the work activities for multiple programs to ensure satisfying delivery. Manages the planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery. Tracks progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepares reports to senior management. Responsible for managing activities of external consultants and/or vendors. In-depth understanding of the field's concepts and principles. Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions. Supervision may be provided through a team of subordinate supervisors and/or managers. Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies. Typically requires BA and 8-10 years.
- At least 5 years of project management experience with demonstrated experience in leading large IT Research and development project teams through all phases of a project lifecycle to include risk management.
- Demonstrated experience applying IT systems security methods and techniques to systems designs.
- Demonstrated experience performing cost/benefit and other appropriate analyses using quantitative and qualitative analytical methods.
- Demonstrated experience implementing new and emerging IT technologies, applications.
- Demonstrated experience with effective oral communication to individuals and large groups.
- Interim Secret/Final Secret.
