This position is accountable for Project Management, Customer Service, and Scheduling and project wrap up of all jobs assigned. This position oversees multiple projects. In addition to the responsibilities of a PM, the project manager is responsible for identifying appropriate resources needed and developing the schedule to ensure timely completion of the project.

Duties:
  • Manage daily operational and tactical aspects of multiple or large-scale projects from start to close out; conduct post-project 'lessons learned' review.
  • Mitigate risks and manage scope across multiple projects.
  • Ensure project quality, schedule adherence, budget consciousness, and safety.
  • Communicate project information effectively to superiors and peers.
  • Understand each customer's organization and objectives; enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Maintain frequent correspondence with internal and external teams; keep accurate project files.
  • Oversee project information including shop drawings and submittals.
  • Prepare and manage change orders promptly.
  • Coordinate job requirements with management and supervision.
  • Hold pre-job, post-job, and weekly project coordination meetings; distribute meeting notes.
  • Communicate production delays and delivery changes to internal and external customers.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining job schedules.
  • Hold planning and review meetings with Department Managers, Estimating, Engineering, etc.
  • Submit job reports to Leadership as requested.
  • Manage, coach, and lead the Project Coordination team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to maintain professional demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Problem-solving, conflict resolution, and effective decision-making skills under pressure.
  • Advanced knowledge of blueprints and geometric tolerancing.
  • Advanced skills in contract documentation and administration.
  • Accurate minute-taking for formal and informal meetings.
  • Ability to hold team members accountable for quality, time, and budget commitments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint, internet technologies, etc.
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or Engineering related field; PMP Certification highly beneficial.
  • 3+ years of hands-on project management experience in process development, execution, and contract administration, including scheduling, budget management, forecasting, and analysis of government and private contracts.
  • Equivalent experience in supervising/overseeing fabrication and machining projects and interfacing with customers, suppliers, and team members may substitute for formal qualifications.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed for project kick offs, tradeshows, and other customer requirements.
