We are looking for a Provider Data Specialist, in this role, you will put your relationship building and analytical skills to the test. You'll interact with internal customers and report on behalf of the provider database during wider ranging IT projects. You'll be part of a fast-paced, data driven organization where accuracy and performance are highly valued.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help manage provider data and maintain and improve databases- use of multiple tools and online search, calls to providers as needed
  • Report and extract data for various reports and analyses
  • Help develop/maintain standards for database integrity and quality assurance
  • Coordinate corrective activities to clean database and retain users
  • Assist in audits and data quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of equivalent work experience in healthcare data entry
  • 3+ years of experience in the health care industry
  • 2+ years of claims or data entry experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of customer service experience
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Beginner proficiency with medical terminology

Soft Skills:

  • Speaks professionally
  • Good communication skills to get info from resources
  • Understands and acts on customer service for internal customers
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to conduct research
