Position Title: Python Developer
On-Site Location(s): Houston, TX
Contract Duration: 12-24 months
Job Title Job Responsibilities:
The role is to augment the commodities development team in Houston. The role will involve working very closely with the Quartz core teams, front office traders/marketers and the quant team to build consistent software solutions. Responsibilities Primary responsibilities will include developing Python based software for our sales and trading desks in a collaborative environment with a global team. Constant engagement will be critical with the business stake holders to identify and document requirements to fulfill their various needs around pricing, risk and trade capture. 1st level support of the delivered technologies in the location will be expected. Requirements Essential

• Structured Development background (C# / C++ or similar - ideally Python scripting)
• Understanding of OO concepts
• Experience with pricing and analytics for commodities derivatives
• Solid communication skills, capable of facing off with sales and trading desks Ideal
• Prior experience of working in on commodity end-of-day or intraday risk.
• Experience with Python language
