D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Quality Control Auditor I for their Quality Control Department. The right candidate will ensure that company loans are quality products in compliance with Federal and State regulations, and Investor's and Guarantor's guideline requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform required re-verifications within guidelines and timeframes
  • Remain current with regulation changes from government/state agencies, as well as policy changes from agencies and investors and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of all underwriting guidelines
  • Perform administrative functions as assigned by management
  • Perform special/target audits in accordance with procedures, as assigned
  • Assist teammates in the department with work as needed
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Able to work overtime
  • Able to travel overnight
  • Regular and reliable attendance


Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • One to four years related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of or experience in the mortgage loan processing and underwriting
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
