Pratt & Whitneys Columbus Blades Manufacturing Facility is transforming for the future to support legacy product lines and new engine programs for both military and commercial applications. We continually make significant investments in technology and resources to better support customers and their engines now and for new customers.

Job Duties

Your main responsibilities would include:
  • Apply technical knowledge, quality skills and leadership skills to solve simple to complex quality signature problems.
  • Work/lead multi-functional teams comprised of ME and operations personnel to ensure robust RRCA and process improvement.
  • Quality Clinic Support - lead investigations for internal and external escapes; assemble diverse stakeholder teams for sustainable RCCA; Ensure no repeat escapes; assist clinic in transition to level 4 via proactive and preventative continuous improvement
  • Part Health and MRL support: monitor part health, determine part MRL levels, identify gaps to achieving next MRL level. Apply SPC principles to dimensional inputs and outputs as well as thermal operation KPCs. Support development of PFMEAs.
  • Work in partnership with MCL to determine CpK levels for mechanical properties and determine process improvements to achieve and maintain CpK levels required for applicable MRL.
  • QN - provide leadership and support for assessing non-conforming product. Work to achieve aged QN and SRR metrics for the site.
  • Focus on gathering expertise, training and certifications to progress to P4 and beyond, desire to grow in role and be a Quality leader.
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • US citizenship required due to government contracts

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with leadership and associates at all levels through the organization and external customers
  • Knowledge of non-conforming material management processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as, strong presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management and decision-making skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SAP
  • Experience developing and mentoring other leaders
  • Experience working in a shop capacity
  • Green belt or black belt in lean six sigma
  • Master's Degree preferred
