Quality Technician

Volt is immediately hiring Quality Technicians in the Oxnard, Ventura Area!

As a Quality Technician you will:

• Calibrate the metal detectors on the production line
• Support the testing of the sanitizers and soap for cleaning the machinery
• Take samples of raw materials and Finished Product requested by QA manager
• Enforce food safety policies regarding allergens and maintain the procedures in place to avoid cross contamination.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure that safety protocols are followed diligently.
• Inform QA manager of any deviation from specifications.
• Conduct the allergen tests (if required) and ATP swabs after cleaning.
• Take samples for the environmental program.
• Participate in inventory and manage moving ingredients to departments.
• Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to facilitate smooth operations. Communicate any potential contamination or worrisome activity to the QA manager or plant manager.
• Conduct pre-operation/post-operation inspection for commissary kitchen and production.
• Help with administrative tasks: organizing folders, scanning documents, translating documents or other duties as assigned by your manager.

This is a Full-Time 1st Shift Opportunity.

Pay Rate: $17-19/hr

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong interest in science, food production or food safety.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn other computer programs, including McConnell's inventory system
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a high attention to detail.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
