Expected Starting Salary Range: 37.80 - 47.89

SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Responsible for certain administrative, procedural, financial, legal, operational, and quality improvement activities within Cincinnati Children's Hospital that are necessary to run the facilities and to support the core functions of the business relative to treatment and payment.

Scope: This role will be managing the Radiology reading room team, child life specialists, and patient engagement specialist.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

Provide leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals. May manage the project budget. Develop project plans resource allocation, and timeline. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. May direct assigned project team ensuring effective utilization of resources. Reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders. Provides detailed organizational communication plans when clinical operations are impacted.

Financial Management

In collaboration with leadership, develop, implement and evaluate the department's annual and capital budget to achieve the organizational and departmental objectives; monitor internal controls for cash management; maintain and monitor financial controls; ensure accounts receivable management; analyze and monitor financial performance and assist in the reporting of financial results; evaluate variances, determine underlying causes and identify, present, and implement proposed solutions; establish and monitor productivity metrics; accountable for compliance with organizational financial policies and procedure

Operations

Serve as a point of contact and resource for the daily operations. Execute the strategic vision and plan for the department/program. Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures that guide and support departmental operations and services. Research and resolve operational questions and problems as they arise. Serve as a resource to staff in the resolution of complex issues and concerns. Address problem trends, develop, plan and implement solutions to improve processes and work flow. Monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient work flow and compliance with applicable laws, standards and regulations.

Compliance

May define process and manage invention reporting required for federal and private compliance. Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required when regulation and system changes dictate. Collaborate to capture revenue distribution models for executed agreements to ensure that financials are distributed in compliance with the CCHMC policy. Identify opportunities on an ongoing basis to improve compliance with agreement obligations, including milestones, reporting, and invoicing.

People Planning

Manage the selection, development, motivation, appraisal and discipline personnel. Ensure that job requirements and goals for each position are clear to employees. Delegate responsibilities to reporting personnel, establish clear lines of responsibility and accountability. Determine and document the qualifications and competence of division personnel. Ensure that orientation, in-service training and continuing education are provided to division personnel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
