Records I-9 Specialist

We are currently seeking a Records I-9 Specialist to join our team.

This position is responsible for creating a positive experience when conducting interactions with external and internal customers by consistently exceeding expectations related to work-site employee information. Participates in a team-specific work rotation of all I-9 related processes. Identifies and reports any compliance issues with work-site employee information. This position is also responsible for meeting the expectations by maintaining current knowledge of systems and programs used for Records COE processes. Clearly demonstrates the traits that support the goals, missions, and values of the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Enforces security provisions to prevent access to information by unauthorized individuals.
  • Provides excellent customer service to external and internal customers and government agencies related to work authorization.
  • Provides training/demonstration to both internal and external customers to include instructions for all fields of the Form I-9.
  • Maintains knowledge of current DHS/USCIS guidelines:
  • All citizenship types
  • Immigration statuses
  • Extension or reverification requirements
  • Acceptable documents.
  • Audits I-9 forms and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy following federal requirements.
  • Maintains E-Verify certification and daily reconciliation process including current state law requirements for private employers.
  • Reconciles Social Security Administration verification report results to Social Security Administration site.
  • Provides timely and accurate responses to inquiries received via team inbox and/or hotline.
  • Participates in State Separation Notice process rotation.
  • Collaborates with leadership to create and improve I-9 Team processes.
  • Serves as back-up to team members in the Records department.
  • Prioritizes daily workflow and keeps leadership updated on individual and/or team backlog.
  • Maintains knowledge of information management technologies.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate’s Degree is preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.
