Tesla is seeking a Refurbishment Operations Lead to join our North America Used Cars team. This team is responsible for the $1 billion Tesla Used Vehicle business focused on the intake, refurbishment, and resale of all used Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles. We are a team that constantly challenges the status quo to revolutionize the trade-in and used vehicle purchase experience.
Refurbishment Operations Lead is a demanding position which requires the flexibility to adapt, a deep understanding of stakeholder management and the ability to influence without authority, and a forward-thinking nature to anticipate trends. You will be responsible for developing and championing step-change improvements to the refurbishment process, finding ways to repair vehicles more quickly and at the highest standard of quality, support new strategic initiatives, and manage multiple critical projects simultaneously. This dynamic and multifaceted position requires exceptional communication skills, a developed understanding of business operations, and a track record of effectively guiding initiatives to success under challenging conditions.


Responsibilities
  • Own and lead programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing vehicle Refurbishment quality, managing key business stakeholders, executing related projects, and maintaining the documentation that partner teams depend on for successful execution
  • Be responsible for driving improvements in Refurbishment quality at over 30 sites across North America
  • Take a data-driven approach to identify necessary improvements and communicate progress throughout the implementation
  • Oversee the quality feedback loop between the Used Cars and Repair teams, providing clear guidance and support to achieve industry-leading customer satisfaction
  • Provide stakeholders with regular updates on project status, upcoming timelines, any potential obstacles to achieving deliverables
  • Collaborate across departments within Tesla (Sales, Service, Delivery, Finance) and Used Car team leaders to develop effective workflows and ensure their successful execution


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong ability to analyze medium-to-large datasets, draw meaningful conclusions, and lead complex projects
  • Experience in driving process improvements and managing change initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Develop and track KPIs to monitor performance improvements and ensure alignment with Tesla's business objectives
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across both internal and external organizations
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to resolve critical problems quickly and independently

    • Expected Compensation

      $68,000 - $120,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
