Registered Nurse COE and Quality Program Coordinator at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:
  • The Centers of Excellence program ( COE) and Quality Program Coordinator provides support with program aspects of COE and provides assistance with aspects of Quality/Risk Management, and Infection Prevention under the direction of the Director of Quality Services. Centers of Excellence program (COE) coordination promotes and develops the business activities to support the COE service line for the hospital and other assigned hospital quality programs. COE and Quality Program Coordinator oversees and organizes the operational needs to support the COE and Quality programs completing tasks and responsibilities in collaboration with other clinical site management, physicians and USPI & Tenant company personnel, including regulatory oversight for COE program certification requirements. Plays a key role in promoting quality measures to physician, staff and service line leaders.

Required Skills:

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Licensure/Certification:

• RN Licensure Required

Required Experience:

• Minimum two years' experience in nursing

• Performance/Process Improvement experience preferred

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating activities/services for the support of COE

• Works collaboratively and collegially with department operations leaders to promote the advancement of COE for clinical best practices and evidenced based leadership

• Assures staff and program compliance with established standards, practices, policies/procedures and regulatory requirements

• Assists Director of Quality Services, Infection Prevention and Risk Management

• Assists with performance improvement and regulatory data extrapolation, entry & analysis

• Assists with planning, coordinating, leading & tracking hospital-wide compliance audits & rounds

• Assists in assuring the department is compliant with the standards of regulatory agencies.

• Assist in developing/coordinating/tracking and presentations of educational training for hospital staff to support quality metrics/measures and COE program

• Assists with investigation reviews of patient events (RCAs, FMEAs, Pt grievances/complaints, etc.)

• Assists with preparation of regulatory reports (TJC, EOC, etc.)

• Assists in the preparation of packets/binders for COE, MEC, and other meetings, as needed

• Creates presentations using performance improvement data

• Assists with special projects as directed by Director of Quality

• Completes other duties as assigned.

• Principal Duties:

o leads teams thorough education, meetings and survey preparation

o interfacing with physicians to advance service line

o applies data and analytics across a wide range of areas including patient, physicians and compliance

o enhances utilization of BI and Midas reporting-validation of data

o completes facility and public reporting

o guides regulatory preparation

o able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing priorities and deadlines

o exceptional communication and presentation skills

o strong interpersonal skills to create action and drive decision-making

o advanced ability to prioritize, identify critical tasks, and sequence work

o identify dependencies and decisions needed to achieve an end deliverable

o translates complex concepts, appropriately communicating the information to the executive leaders

o present at physician meetings, director's council, orientation and other committees
