Summary

Under the direction of the department manager/supervisor and under supervision of a charge nurse/team lead, responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care. Proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributes to the nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Develops and participates in the care plan of the patient.

Qualifications

Required

• State of Nevada licensure as Registered Nurse or Interim Permit.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Providers.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers Certification within six (6) months of hire.
• NVCI/CPI Training (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) initial certification within six (6) months of hire
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within ninety (90) days of hire
• Completion of approved Cultural Competency within (6) months of hire

Preferred

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing
• PCCN, CMS-RN or other Nationally accredited certification
