Summary
The Department of Neurology and Alzheimer's Disease and Memory Disorder Center (ADMDC) is seeking a Research Administration Associate. This position will support the ADMDC clinical trial and research program throughout the research life cycle including trial start-up support, budget development, financial set-up, contract management, resource allocation, invoicing, and reporting. The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine provides personalized care for patients with neurological disease, trains medical students and residents in clinical care and research, conducts research to advance the art and science of neurology, and provides meaningful new therapies for patients.
This position is eligible for a future hybrid work schedule.
Employees with Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification are eligible for certification pay.

Job Duties
- Assists the ADMDC Center director and other faculty in the preparation of grants and contracts budgets and Clinical Trials Agreements (CTAs)
- Prepares and submits budgets in Esp2 (BRAIN) and external Sponsor sites
- Prepares and submits QCT spreadsheets for clinical trials to ICTR as needed
- Manages the effort allocation and sourcing for the ADMDC research team
- Utilizes the Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) for accurate invoicing of clinical trials
- Prepares and submits invoices to sponsors according to agreed CTAs
- Prepares outgoing subcontracts and reviews incoming subcontracts
- Prepares budgets, financial reports, and tracks research financials for the Center Director, Principal Investigators (PI), and Department Leadership
- Prepares activity and budget reports for use by the principal investigators (PI)
- Develops budget reports and budget projections as requested by the Center director and other department administrative leadership
- Assists the ADMDC Center Director and Department Administration with the implementation of ADMDC policies and procedures
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of the clinical trial administration process
- Communicates effectively with the ADMDC Center Director, Department Administration, and Research Faculty members to ensure effective and accurate clinical trial administration
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree. Certified Research Administrator certification through the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) may substitute for the degree requirement.
- Two years of relevant experience.

- Demonstrated experience in research administration, contract execution, and budget management
- Ability to display a professional and positive attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across the Department
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, efficient, and strong organizational skills
