Department Summary
The Center for Health Policy has three pillars: Research, Education and Community. These pillars are underpinned by health equity, the translation of research into policy and the practical and effective implementation of policies related to health. The Center focuses particularly but not exclusively on three broad areas: Telementoring & Workforce Development, Rural Health and Whole Health.
Position Overview
The Research Assistant lll will contribute significantly to the Center for Health Policy projects and programs and will engage in a variety of activities including, but not limited to data compilation, management and analyses, report and manuscript development, curriculum development, training and technical assistants, Telemenotring implementation and administration and event management.
Key competency for this role would be multi-tasking skills including organization, attention to detail, and prioritization of tasks. this role will have a significant community engagement component.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Multitasking, working collaboratively with team members, ability to communicate effectively, and problem solving.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Level Degree qualification in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field experience with community engagement. Experience working with a collaborative team.

- Conducts project administration and community activates, including but not limited to meeting scheduling, communication with stake holders and target audiences.
- Participate in training and engagement activities, including preparation and coordination of training and outreach events.
- Drafting- Assisting of reports, conference abstracts, journal manuscripts and presentations
- Mange data collection and data entry, assist in data management and data analysis
- Assist with strategic communication including but not limited to social media communications website content maintenance, informational flyers and newsletters
