The Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia is seeking a Research Associate in the lab of Professor Haiying Shen.

The successful candidate will perform studies aimed at understanding (a) Systems for Machine Learning (e.g., LLM), (b) Machine Learning for Systems including Cloud and Edge Computing, and (c) Distributed Systems and Networks. Requirements for the position include strong background in these topics. The candidate will work with current graduate students, analyze and interpret experimental results, and write manuscripts.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field is required by the start date. Experience in cloud computing is required and machine learning applications is preferred.
