Summary
  • Position Summary
    • This Research Program Manager will work collaboratively and independently on a variety of projects in support of the COBRE in Metabolic Networks, a program of the MaineHealth Institute for Research. Primary responsibilities will be to manage all administrative operations of this grant-funded program. This includes coordination of meetings and events, reports, and budget management, among other duties. This position will report directly to the program's Director, Dr. Lucy Liaw.

      This position is based at our Scarborough, ME research facility. Position availability may be directly related to grant funding.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
    • License/Certification: Appropriate licensure is required.
    • Experience: N/A
    • Visual acuity, manual dexterity, math skills and research acumen required.
    • Skills should include ability to troubleshoot issues with regard to the program or office.
    • Must have good organizational and personnel management skills, communication skills, both personal and written, business planning acumen.
    • Must have a working knowledge of administrative policy and/or federal regulations e.g. DOL, USCIS, Health care, Research or other applicable field.
    • Demonstrated experience in administration and the management of staff.
    • Current best practice with associated technologies.
