Summary of Position:
The purpose of this position is to 1) design, conduct, and analyze experiments in Biochemistry, cell biology, and obesity-related metabolic diseases and 2) prepare and write manuscripts for publications. The position entails independently designing and conducting mouse, cell biology and biochemical experiments aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms for metabolic disease development.
Essential and Other Functions:
70% [Experiments]
design and perform experiments in mouse, biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology.
10% [Analyze and interpret]
analyze the experimental data and interpret the results.
10% [Prepare manuscripts and assist in grant proposals]
prepare manuscripts for publication and conduct experiments for grant proposals.
5% [Supervise and Train]
Supervise and train undergraduate and graduate students in various lab techniques.
5% [Other]
participate in lab seminars/meetings. attend and present the results in conference.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in biochemistry, nutritional science, or neuroscience with substantial research and publication record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the field of signal transduction, mouse metabolism research, and cell biology experiments is preferred.
