As a Family Therapist on our Residential team, you will collaborate with our Social Workers to provide therapy to families, while the Social Workers focus on working with individual patients.

Working as an Outpatient Social Worker/Clinical Counselor at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center you will:

• Performs psychosocial assessments taking into consideration family, social, and medical history. Maintains current knowledge of medical and mental health diagnosis. Report suspicions of abuse and neglect to legally mandated authorities for investigations.

• Deliver services in the residential setting and are trained to work with various challenges facing youth, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, major life changes and difficulty with social relationships. Sessions are typically held during the week during normal working hours with flexibility as needed to accommodate family schedules.

Social Worker Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social work
  • LISW license with the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board
  • 2 - 5 years' work-related experience


Clinical Counselor Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Clinical Counseling
  • LPCC license with the State of Ohio Counselor and Social Work Board.
  • 2-5 years' work-related experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Family Therapy
  • Trained in DBT
  • Experience with TFCBT
