The Risk Management Coordinator will play a vital role as the primary point of contact for risk management activities within the college. Integral to this role is the development and maintenance of robust working relationships with staff members. The coordinator will execute tasks independently, ensuring utmost confidentiality at all times. Furthermore, the coordinator is tasked with delivering exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. This entails a commitment to professionalism, responsiveness, and efficiency, thereby enhancing the overall experience for all parties involved.

This position reports to the CFO/VP of Administration and Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Risk Management/Insurance Support:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for risk management
  • Coordinate annual insurance renewals for multiple policies.
  • Administer liability, property damage/general liability claims including claim initiation and set-up.
  • Analyze statutes, regulations, and risk management guidance for their impact on college operations; develop and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Evaluate internal controls for potential areas of weakness and recommend effective changes to reduce business operations legal risks.
  • Assist with safety reviews and initiatives to reduce business operations risks.
  • Participate in Incident Management Teams
Contract Management:
  • Interpret contract language; review and revise contract language to ensure it meets college needs, including legal, insurance requirements.
  • Determine and mitigate college risk through contract review and working with various college departments to determine and address operations risk mitigation needs in their areas.
  • Reviews Contracts to ensure that insurance requirements align with those of the insurance carrier.

WISCONSIN RETIREMENT SYSTEM

The employer pays 6.5% and the employee pays 6.5% of the shares. Normal retirement benefits are based on a formula for retirement at age 65.

Employee can put pre-tax money into an account to be used toward medical/day care expenses - flexible spending account. Maximum $2,850 for medical; $5,000 for childcare.

403b or 457 are available on a voluntary basis.

HOLIDAYS CAMPUS SHUT-DOWN

11 paid holidays per year. The campus will be closed between

Christmas & New Year's Day.
