Responsibilities

The CARE Clinic provides comprehensive and interdisciplinary care to individuals diagnosed with HIV/AIDS STD and HIV Screening and Treatment as well as Biomedical Prevention Services in the form of PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and PEP (non-occupational Post Exposure Prophylaxis). The primary duties of the clinic RN's include triage of incoming patient calls so the candidate should have strong clinical assessment skills have or be willing to learn standards of care in treating patients with HIV/AIDS STD's and Biomedical Prevention in order to provide patient education. The RN is also responsible for following up on orders and tasks given to them from the medical providers; processes refill requests initiates prior authorizations for non-formulary medications and acts as resource for the medical assistants.

Qualifications
  • Current California RN license
  • Associates in Nursing Degree
  • Excellent time management organizational skills
  • Effective patient communication & interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Preferred Requirements:
  • HIV/AIDS related clinical experience
  • Outpatient Clinic experience
  • Knowledge & experience working with behavioral risk groups including active drug users & LGBQT Community
  • Experience in home health and/or Nurse Case Management desirable
  • Strong quality management skills.
  • EHR (Nextgen) experience
  • Ability to speak Spanish desirable
  • BSN preferred
