Responsibilities of a Unit Manager:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the assigned unit, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor and assess the care provided to residents, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessions to promote professional development and best practices.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to resident care or staff performance promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications of a Unit Manager:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid RN license in NJ
  • Previous LTC/SNF experience preferred
