A premier employer in Downtown Houston is seeking a SCADA Application Analyst. This person will be responsible for daily management, upkeep, and oversight of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (CygNet SCADA) system in alignment with established corporate standards. They will be expected to collaborate effectively with a range of departments and teams, such as automation, measurement, engineering, production, operations, and IT. This role requires a proactive approach to system administration, a strong aptitude for problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively with various internal stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of SCADA systems and related processes.
Along with being the primary resource for CygNet SCADA applications day to day operations, they will be first response troubleshooting, break-fix, and issue resolution for the CygNet SCADA environment. This person will develop and refine a meter update procedure that efficiently monitors meter change requests, oversees their implementation, and confirms the accuracy of these changes, additionally they will implement the use of uniform device templates for each type of device in Cygnet, which includes reviewing existing devices for standardization compliance. It's important to track and evaluate system performance, specifically in terms of data accuracy and control operations, and proposes potential improvements. This person will collaborate with various teams to integrate wellsite, saltwater disposal, compressor site, plant, and other field automation data into CygNet SCADA. They will be responsible for the development of SCADA applications, mobile solutions, screens, alarm/event pages, historization/trending, and reports. They will establish and troubleshoot communications at the direction of Telemetry Technicians, develop and update documentation for system procedures and protocols, and maintain strict separation of the Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) networks. This person must create and maintain an inventory of all programmable and controllable hardware within the SCADA network. They also must perform the quarterly server and network security patching for the SCADA environment and perform annual updates of software and configurations to maintain system security and integrity following corporate change management policies and procedures. They will ensure system reliability and availability through backup and disaster recovery testing and monitoring and provide training and support to employees on SCADA related matters.

Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience with CygNet SCADA and Field Measurement Software (FMS)
Exceptional documentation skills, adept at creating and maintaining clear, concise, and accurate written policies and procedures
Familiarity with CygNet for Production Data Model
Skilled in creating Data Transfer Files (DTFs) within CygNet for various device types
Competent in developing template screens powered by facility attributes and metadata in CygNet
Strong grasp of control theory as it applies to process control systems
General understanding of engineering disciplines, industrial control, and I/O hardware, as well as networking and communication infrastructure
Interpret and analyze P&ID's, loop diagrams, cause & effect matrices, and process flow diagrams for accurate system understanding and implementation
Experienced in planning and conducting software acceptance testing
Microsoft Azure experience
Detail-oriented and results-driven approach, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and effective workload prioritization
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with technical and functional expertise
Bachelors degree
