THE OPPORTUNITY
Kipsu is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll play a unique and interesting role in a high growth, leading edge Minneapolis based software company. Here, you complete a variety of finance -related projects and learn what finance support looks like in a small, growing company.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP; including month end close processes (JE's, Financial analysis of results)
  • Account Reconciliation: Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Maintain General Ledger, including but not limited to: Fixed Asset changes; Cash Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Deferred Revenue Subsidiary ledgers.
  • Assistance: Assisting with Audits, tax preparation, month end and year end planning and budgeting process.
  • Technical Support: Providing technical support and advice on accounting treatment, developing/documenting internal control processes. Experience with revenue recognition and leases is a plus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We will favor candidates that have the following characteristics and background:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel,
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
  • 3+ years in public accounting or 4+ years experience at a company that is subject to audit reviews is a plus
  • CPA preferred, not required
  • Experience in SaaS company is preferred
  • Familiarity with Netsuite is preferred, not required
