PRT is seeking a Staff Accountant in our St Paul, Minnesota facility. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records/procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company's reports and statements. This position supports the Accounting/Finance organization and assists in carrying out responsibilities that help meet the goals of the Company. The Staff Accountant will also serve as a as the backup for the Accounting Manager.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and review financial records for accuracy and SOX compliance. Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. Responsible for the preparation and posting of journal entries. Organize and update financial records. Analyze and prepare monthly accruals. Prepare, analyze, and submit monthly financial data via OneStream. Assist with some day-to-day tasks as needed. Working knowledge of OneStream financial reporting tool. Recommends process improvement opportunities. Prepare / analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements / reports. Assist with quarterly and year-end supplemental schedules as required, including quarterly balance sheet review, and annual Tax and Accounting packages. Analyze and report actual variances compared to forecast and AOP Participates in, ensures, and drives SOX Section 404 compliance. Assist with MyTana check run and accounts receivable cash application. Assist in preparation of documentation to support audits. Prepare/maintain/organize backup for Financial Reporting - OneStream. Special projects as assigned - including system related projects, process improvement, departmental training. Assist sales with inventory/rental equipment status and determine depreciation balance on current assets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in General Accounting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Sage300, Great Plains, and OneStream is desired.
- Strong Excel skills required.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting is desired.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of Sarbanes Oxley.
- A proven track record relative to problem solving in an automated accounting environment.
- Ability to meet accounting close / financial data submittal deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Timeliness and data correctness is required.
- Effective communication skills.
- Effective analytical skills.
- Must have the ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and with a team, providing leadership to the team.
- Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
- Some exposure to cost accounting
- Understanding of Inventory controls and analysis
