Responsibilities

  • Manages the Dean's Office in the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Serves as Special Assistant to the Dean.
  • Assists the Dean with donor relations, fundraising, development, and stewardship efforts in close coordination with the Director of Development.
  • Serves as the College's subject matter expert for faculty administrative matters including departmental HR activities, promotion/tenure, faculty awards.
  • Assists Director with administrative operations. Serves as the College's subject matter expert for HR actions.
  • Responsible for performing a variety of specialized and complex professional work that facilitates the administrative operations of a function, program, and/or department
  • Utilizes extensive knowledge of the department to make recommendations to senior management and/or executive leadership on program planning and development
  • Interprets, monitors, and analyzes information regarding operating policies and procedures
  • Oversight of daily office management and typically supervises office staff
  • Participates in long-range planning/forecasting for the College/Department
  • Coordinates academic and/or staff personnel matters
  • Utilizes discretion and independent judgment in resolving problems that may have a significant impact on the overall goals of the department

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years' experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience (Note: or combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
