A family-owned construction company known for its commitment to quality and people is searching for a Senior Construction Project Manager (SCA) to join their team in Brooklyn, NY! They are looking for someone with at least 10 years of experience in municipality construction or 5 years of experience in School Construction Authority to lead and guide a small team while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This role is central to operations, focusing on Tenant Improvements and HVAC projects where you will be responsible for estimating, coordinating with subcontractors, attending weekly job meetings, scheduling, and progress reporting. Salary Range: $160, 000 - $185, 000 / year DOE

Senior Construction Project Manager Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in municipality construction, with a preference for candidates having 5+ years of significant SCA project involvement
  • A strong foundation in mechanical construction practices and principles
  • Demonstrated skill in accurately estimating project costs and timelines
  • Experience within the New York construction industry, preferably with experience working as or with subcontractors
  • Valid driver s license and personal vehicle, with reimbursements for travel-related expenses provided
  • Bachelor s degree is preferred but not required
  • Extensive experience in school construction projects, especially those associated with the School Construction Authority, is strongly desired

Senior Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead project initiatives with a focus on mechanical HVAC systems, ensuring excellence in execution
  • Estimate project costs and manage the buyout process with financial efficiency
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with subcontractors, emphasizing collaborative success
  • Manage a team of 2-3, including Superintendents, Foremen, and occasionally Assistant Project Managers, to foster a productive team environment
  • Conduct weekly job meetings, meticulously plan project schedules, and produce detailed progress reports to ensure project milestones are met
  • Travel to project sites within 10 miles of the city center as required, ensuring hands-on project oversight and management
