Senior Consultant - IT Infrastructure (Cloud, Data Centers, Networks) - Infosys Consulting Infosys Consulting's Tech Transformation Advisory Practice is seeking a Senior Consultant specializing in IT Infrastructure. Position Overview: As a Senior Consultant specializing in IT Infrastructure, you will support and manage complex projects that involve designing, implementing, and optimizing corporate IT infrastructure environments. These environments include cloud services, data centers, network systems, end-user management systems, cybersecurity, and more. You will work closely with clients and senior leadership to ensure the successful delivery of IT infrastructure solutions. Responsibilities: Strategic IT Support:
  • Assist in leading IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and long-term IT roadmap.
  • Develop and contribute to strategic roadmaps for IT transformation, focusing on infrastructure optimization, operational efficiency, security measures, and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and clients to identify and mitigate risks associated with IT infrastructure projects, ensuring business continuity and compliance with security regulations.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and trends in IT infrastructure, operations, and security, and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
IT Infrastructure Management:
  • Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and resilient IT infrastructure, including cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), data centers, and network systems.
  • Evaluate and integrate hardware, software, and network systems to ensure seamless interoperability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist in the migration and optimization of data centers and cloud services for efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage and optimize IT corporate services including Service Desk, End User Compute (EUX), and Identity management (AD, AAD) to enhance user experience.
IT Operations Excellence:
  • Implement IT operational frameworks and best practices (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) to enhance service delivery and operational performance.
  • Assist in the transition and transformation of IT services during infrastructure projects, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
  • Monitor IT service levels, incident management, and problem resolution processes.
  • Ensure adherence to change management and configuration management processes.
IT Security Governance:
  • Support the establishment and enforcement of IT security policies and standards to protect critical information assets.
  • Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential security threats in cloud and data center environments.
  • Implement and manage security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), encryption technologies, and endpoint protection solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
Cloud and Data Center Strategy:
  • Assist in designing and implementing cloud strategies (public, private, hybrid) that align with business goals, scalability needs, and cost optimization.
  • Support data center operations, including capacity planning, disaster recovery (DR) strategies, and high availability configurations.
  • Optimize performance using automation tools and orchestration platforms (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes).
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored IT solutions.
  • Present project updates, findings, and recommendations to client executives and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders through IT transformation processes.
Team Collaboration and Development:
  • Collaborate with project teams, ensuring clear communication, effective collaboration, and timely delivery of milestones.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Project / Program Management:
  • Support project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project success, including uptime, incident resolution time, and cost savings.
Thought Leadership & Practice Development:
  • Contribute to the development of joint offerings with other service lines.
  • Share insights through blogs, white papers, and other thought leadership.
  • Assist in developing and refining Infosys methodologies and approaches to client delivery.
  • Help develop IT infrastructure tools and processes.
  • Participate in recruiting and retaining top-quality consultants.
Business Development and Sales:
  • Support IT infrastructure business development and sales activities, including proposal development and solution presentations.
  • Assist in developing execution plans, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
  • Identify and support new business opportunities and client relationships.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in IT infrastructure, with exposure to IT operations and security.
  • Proven experience supporting complex IT projects.
  • Consulting or client-facing experience preferred.
  • M&A experience is beneficial but not required.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, networks, cloud services).
  • Knowledge of IT operations management tools and methodologies (ITIL, COBIT).
  • Familiarity with IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST) and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and support project teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 75%.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Functional expertise in finance, human resources, supply chain, and IT.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, AWS/Azure/GCP certifications are desirable but not required.
