Reporting organisationally to the Head of PMO and Reporting, the Senior Coordinator, Scheduling and Reporting will be a key member of the FIFA26 Strategy and Planning team, and work in close collaboration with the FIFA World Cup Project Office and other key individuals responsible for supporting the implementation of best practice project delivery, providing control and support across Functional Areas (as needed/assigned) and work streams in FIFA26 in USA, CAN and MEX. With respect to the FIFA World Cup 2026 Project Plan, the role will support the plan is monitored, dates of milestones and deliverables are adhered to, and projects risks are properly identified and reported

THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Senior Coordinator, PMO Scheduling and Reporting for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
  • Work closely with the FIFA World Cup Project Office and PMO team members to support the implementation of a project management rigor with the appropriate resources, communication, methods, processes and tools with the relevant FIFA26 Functional Areas.
  • Act as a partner to assigned Functional Areas, support them in the day-to-day demands and be a custodian of Project Management processes and standards
  • Maintain and implement quality management processes for project activities and outputs, including reviewing project plans and other related documentation for quality, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing feedback and guidance to FA Members throughout the planning life cycle of the Tournament
  • Implement frameworks and methodologies that ensure management of projects will be comprehensive and consistent across the company
  • Work closely with FIFA World Cup Project Office and PMO team members to implement a reporting framework which includes regular status updates are used to report on company's progress towards the operational delivery of the Tournament
  • Compile regular progress status reports for project governance meetings and provide reporting and updates to the Head of PMO and Reporting and the PMO team members on progress and issues as required
  • Support project/programme managers to prepare and maintain schedules for project/programme activities and events, considering dependencies and resource requirements
  • Act as a supporting figure in the organization to foster a culture of partnership and collaboration, continuous learning to drive innovation, and empowerment
  • Remain flexible in order to support other FIFA26 projects, in addition to those outlined above
  • Ensure information management guidelines are adhered to across the team, regularly conducting checks to ensure the Project Plan and document libraries are organised according to company's guidelines (I.e. archiving, folder hierarchy structure, file names etc.)
  • During the Tournament, the role will transition into coordinating the day to day management of the Tournament Headquarters/Main Operations Centre and aspects related to the resolution of issues


YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor's Degree or similar level of higher education in business, project management or related field
  • APM, PMI or Prince 2 professional qualification is preferred, not mandatory
  • Major events experience:
    • Previous experience in a project/programme management role from a major event
  • Project Management and Reporting
    • Experience in a central PMO function within a sport organisation or medium/big sized corporate company
    • Experience in executing project/programme management methodologies
    • Risks and issues management
    • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and under pressure
    • Ability to report complex project/programme data into simple dashboards
    • Uses judgement to assess levels of risk and ability to develop proposed mitigation measures
    • Understand the interconnection between the role's scope and the other Planning and Integration work streams (I.e. Operational Readiness, C4, operational planning, contingency planning etc.) and support integration at all levels
  • Team Management
    • Ability to work both independently with minimum supervision and cooperatively within a team situation.
    • Previous experience of working in different cultures and contributing to a diverse team
    • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders while building cooperative and positive relationships.
